Ahh Thursdays!! It means we are so much closer to the start of the weekend. We progress through this #tbt with Michael Silverman and Eric Marienthal on the very refined single “In These Times”. This is the first that the the two jazz stalwarts have come together on a single, one that also features James Lloyd (Pieces of a Dream), Yellowjackets’ Jimmy Haslip and Michael’s brother drummer Rob Silverman. Given his experience with performing classical, Jazz and New Age Music, Michael brings a combo of each into his playing style on this song of hope. Eric enters with spirited sax notes that build momentum soaring throughout the track. This all takes place in a melody that hits all the right notes.
